Macrolepiota procera is a large, edible mushroom with a cap that can reach up to 30cm (12 inches) in diameter. The stem can grow up to 40cm (16 inches) tall and 5cm (2 inches) in diameter. The cap is white or cream-colored, with brownish scales, and the stem is white and smooth. The gills are white and crowded, and the spores are elliptical and smooth.
