

Myrtillocactus schenckii is a slow-growing cactus species that can reach up to 3 meters (9.8 feet) in height and 1 meter (3.3 feet) in width. It has a columnar shape and blue-green stems that can reach up to 10 cm (3.9 inches) in diameter. The stems have 5 to 9 ribs with areoles that produce spines and hairs. It produces small pink or white flowers that bloom in the summer and are followed by edible red or purple fruits.
