Salix babylonica is a deciduous tree that can grow up to 25 meters (82 feet) tall. It has a broad crown with drooping branches and narrow leaves that are light green on top and pale green underneath. The tree produces cylindrical catkins in the spring, which are followed by small, fluffy seeds that are dispersed by the wind.
