Description
The dioecious plants form dark green to yellow-green turf and become 2-4 cm high, sometimes significantly higher.The broadly lanceolate to tongue-shaped leaves are moist sparrig spreading up bent back, in the dry state slightly rotated to frizzy. The leaf base easily covers the stems. The leaf margin is smooth or slightly wavy in the lower part of the leaf, notched against the tip. Overall, leaf shape and formation of the leaf margin are very variable.The leaf rib ends just before the tip of the leaf. The cells of the leaf area are strongly mamill�s .The smooth, upright to horizontally inclined, egg-shaped capsule sits on a relatively short, tawny Seta .
