

Distylium myricoides is an evergreen shrub or small tree that is native to Japan. It has a dense, rounded habit and grows up to 20 feet (6 meters) tall and wide. The leaves are glossy, dark green, and have a leathery texture. In late winter to early spring, it produces small, inconspicuous flowers that are followed by small, reddish-brown fruit.
