Amelanchier interior is a deciduous shrub or small tree that can grow up to 10 m tall. The leaves are oval-shaped with a finely toothed margin, and the flowers are white and appear in clusters in early spring. The fruit is a small, edible purple-black berry that ripens in early summer. It is commonly known as the Pacific serviceberry or interior serviceberry.
