Alstroemeria aurea is a species of flowering plant in the family Alstroemeriaceae. It is a herbaceous perennial that grows up to 1 m (3 ft 3 in) tall. The plant has fleshy, tuberous roots and lance-shaped leaves that are up to 20 cm (8 in) long. The flowers are yellow or orange with red markings and bloom from mid-spring to early summer.
