Up to 10 feet (3 meters)
Piper betle prefers partial to full sunlight (4-6 hours of direct sunlight) daily.
It prefers high humidity levels of about 80%. Use a humidifier or mist the leaves regularly to maintain the required humidity.
Fertilize the plant every 2-3 weeks with a balanced fertilizer during the growing season. Reduce the frequency during winters.
Prune the plant regularly to encourage bushy growth and to control its size. Pinch off the growing tips to promote branching.
Piper betle is susceptible to spider mites, mealybugs, and scale insects. Regularly inspect the plant for any signs of pests and treat them with insecticidal soap or neem oil.
12-24 inches (30-60 cm)
It requires regular watering to keep the soil moist, but not waterlogged. Watering should be reduced during winters.
Piper betle prefers a warm and humid environment. The ideal temperature range is between 75-85°F (24-29°C). It cannot tolerate frost or extreme cold temperatures.
