Devil's ivy (Epipremnum aureum)

Is this a dragon tail? I got the cutting as a wedding favor and she said to keep it in the water until the roots grow two inches. Do you think that’s what I should do or should I put it in a pot? Edit: Someone said they think it’s Devil’s Ivy actually. I researched what to do with the cutting and it said to wait for the roots to grow which should take a couple of weeks and then pot it.
