#photocontest Naked Lady observed along my walk today! Amaryllis Belladonna have fragrant light-pink flowers that appear in mid-August once their green foliage has died back, giving them the common name of “Naked Ladies.” They naturalize readily in well-drained soil. Mulch over winter to extend cold hardiness. Cold hardy in zones 7-11. Grow as annuals elsewhere. 24-36" tall. Source: High Country Gardens Sadly mine haven't even sprouted yet this year. 🥺
Nice flower and what a name. L.O.L Great picture, Terry. I guess these will have to do for now 😉
Go PremiumGo PremiumThanks Fastle and Gloria! Gloria, these are in Santa Clara county. And yes, they are all over! Fastle, my wife says I'm obsessed with the name! 🤔🤫🧐🐸
Go PremiumGo Premium@Terry, she is nice, that she kept it to the name only, and hasn't extrapolated it further. 😂😂
Go PremiumGo PremiumThanks Ken and Maureen! If they weren't so stunning I wouldn't be as impressed either, but they clearly are!
