Love-in-a-mist (Nigella damascena)

Aren’t they just gorgeous!!! A friend gave me seeds from her garden. I sowed them but I had no success. Will definitely try again after seeing your beautiful capture

Me either, gorgeous!

Ooh wow I have hundreds of them coming up and thousands in my allotments 😝🤣🤣💙💙💙🩵🩵

Ой, он даже слишком хорош. А почему любовь в тумане, Терри?

Love this Nigella Flowers too 😍😍😍👌👌👌 💫🩵💙♻️🩵💙💫🤗👍🥰😘👋

Thanks Nishi, Andrew, JYC, Inna and Sonja!

It's called love-in-a-mist because the delicate flowers appear to be nestled within a 'mist' of feathery, thread-like bracts that surround them. Source: https://flowernames.flowersluxe.com
