Candle larkspur (Delphinium elatum)

Hi everyone, after deciding to grow Delphiniums this year for the first time, I am wondering why I have never grown them before! I bought a small tray of 8 seedlings in March, planted most of them and gave the rest to mum. So far 3 different colours have bloomed.... must say, that was a great $5 investment! FUN FACT: The name "delphinium" originates from the Greek word for "dolphin," as the shape of the flower's nectar-containing spur resembles the marine mammal..... something I hadn't noticed, but certainly will look for now! 🐬 Have a happy day or evening, wherever you are in this amazing world of ours! 💙
