Common zinnia (Zinnia elegans)

Massachusetts, USA could have gotten the first syllable of its name from the massive amount of floral ornamentation the businesses and townships work so hard to plant and groom in order to beautify their environment and welcome the many tourists who come to admire the northern history and heritage of their beautiful state, part of our United States. (However, that’s not actually part of the history of the state’s name, though there are MASSes of flowers scattered in these wonderful towns.)
