Gyroweisia Moss (Gyroweisia tenuis)
Description
On damp, shaded stone or brickwork, often beside water. Usually the rock is calcareous or enriched by mortar or percolating moisture. Often found at the base of church walls, this moss tolerates shade well, and sometimes occurs near electric lights in caves and tunnels.
