In addition to the simple leaf rib, which ends in the upper half of the leaf, a few short secondary ribs are often present at the base of the leaf.Antitrichia species are diocesan . On the elongated, smooth seta is a straight or slightly curved, elongated-egg-shaped to oblong-cylindrical capsule. The capsule neck has gap openings.
