Description

They are large, thick and loose lawn-forming moss plants with elongated, often hanging secondary stems, which are irregularly branched. A central strand in the cross-section of the stem is missing or is only indicated. The concave leaves are broadly ovate to ovoid-lanceolate, pointed to pointed and pointed at the tip.
