Description
Plants grow in dense tufts or scattered among mosses, sometimes without leaves, light yellowish green to somewhat brownish. The leafy shoots are 1-2mm wide, stems are 1.5 -2.5cm long, prostrate to suberect, branched (Frye, 1937).Ecologically, it is common on the bases of tree trunks in shaded forests (Hong 1988). On tree bases and logs, occasionally on rocks, in woods (Fulford 1936).
