Gymnomitrion concinnatum (Gymnomitrion concinnatum)
Description
A montane species of rocks and mineral soil in a variety of sites, both exposed and sheltered. It is most frequent in the hepatic-rich crust with least willow (Salix herbacea) that forms at the margin of very late-lying snow, or on gravel terraces in fell fields, but it also occurs lower down on crags, in gullies and in scree. Usually high in the mountains with sporadic occurrences on lower ground in north and west Scotland.
