Description
Caryopteris is a genus of flowering plants belonging to the family of Lamiaceae , above was in the Verbenáceas . He is native to South Asia. Comprises 29 species described and of these, only seven accepted. They are herbaceous plants or small shrubs that reach 1-4 meters in height. The leaves are opposite, simple, ovate or lanceolate with the margins whole or crenados, often they are aromatic. The flowers are blue or white. The fruit is a capsule with four valves that contain four seeds .
