Description

Palaquium walsurifolium is a tree in the Sapotaceae family. It grows up to 30 metres (100 ft) tall. The bark is rusty brown. Inflorescences bear up to five flowers. The fruits are subglobose, up to 1.8 cm (1 in) in diameter. The specific epithet walsurifolium is from the Latin referring to similarity of the tree's leaves to those of the genus Walsura. Habitat is peat swamp, lowland mixed dipterocarp and alluvial forests. P. walsurifolium is found in Sumatra, Peninsular Malaysia and Borneo.
