Wright'S Mock Buckthorn (Sageretia wrightii)
Description
Wright sageretia grows in rocky areas of dry canyons from 3000 feet to 5000 feet in the Davis and Chinati Mountains, and also in New Mexico, Arizona and Mexico. This sometimes rounded, but usually slender, spreading shrub has stiff spiny branches with small shiny leaves.
