Description
They are monoaxial trees, 1-5 m high; Dioic plants. Leaves pseudoverticilate, elliptic, oblong or oblanceolate, 25-65 cm long and 5.5-20 cm wide, apex acute or subacuminate, mucronate, base long attenuated. Inflorescences in staminate pinnate or 2-pinnate columnar panicles, 13-40 cm long, with peduncle 8-15 cm long, flowers 3 (-4) -male, light purple, then opaque yellow, pedicels 2-4.5 mm Long, papillary and rufo-puberulent, prominently black-dotted, floral bracts 0.8-1.3 mm long. Fruit globular, 1-1.3 cm long, orange to reddish orange-reddish, prominently black-dotted.
