Description
They are small trees that reach a size of up to 15 m in height, the upper branches, generally glabrous, from reddish to grayish brown. Subsequent leaves to petiolate, with canaliculated petioles up to 2 cm long; Leaves oblong, most 2.5-4 times longer than wide, 15-25 (-30) cm. Long, 4-9 cm. Wide, apex acute to acuminate, basally rounded to acute. Inflorescences staminate fascicles forming compact spikes up to 1 cm wide. Flowers pistiladas with pedicels 2,5-9 mm. Long, the sepals become 30-50 mm. Long, free wings 2-3 times longer than tubes; Oblanceolated wings.
