Description
The generic name ( Anarrhinum ) derives from two Greek words "ana" (= without) and " rhin" (= nose) , ie without a nose (in reference to the particular shape of the corolla ) . The specific name ( bellidifolium ) means "with leaves like the genus Bellis " (marguerite). The scientific name of the species was initially defined by Linnaeus (1707 - 1778) and subsequently perfected by the French botanist René Louiche Desfontaines (Tremblay, 14 February 1750 - Paris, 16 November 1831) in the publication "Flora Atlantica: sive historia plantarum quae in Atlas , agro tunetano et algeriensi crescunt.
