Description
The wild peony ( Paeonia officinalis L. ) is a plant of the family of Paeoniaceae. It is a perennial herbaceous plant, up to 60 cm high. It is characterized by a robust and deep fusiform rhizome, smooth and erect stems with a single large flower at the top, of crimson-red color in the spontaneous variety, of pleasant smell and appearance between May and June.
