Found from Rio de Janiero, Minas Gerais, Sao Paulo, Rio Grande Do Sul, Santa Catarina, Parana Brazil to northeastern Argentina in wet montane forests at elevations of 400 to 1500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with small, lanceolate, light green, keeled, shiny leaves that blooms in the winter and spring on an erect, pilose, to 4 flowered inflorescence with pilose, tubular flowers
