Description
Oenothera stricta is a species of the family of the Onagráceas. Plant hairy stem , mottled red, erect, 50-150 cm, from basal leaves oblanceolate to linear; leaves cauline closely lanceolate, finely toothed undulate margins. Yellow petals that turn reddish, 2-4.5 cm; Calicino tube 1.5-3 cm, sepals reddish. Capsule visibly elongated in its upper half, hairy. It blooms from spring and throughout the summer. Original from Chile , and introduced in Spain , Portugal , France , Germany , Switzerland , Italy and Russia
