Bog asphodel (Narthecium ossifragum)

Description

Narthecium ossifragum is a species in the family of myrtle plants and occurs in Western Europe . It grows in marshes and marshes throughout western and northern Norway , rarer in the southeastern part of the country. It is quite common in western Götaland , rare in eastern Götaland and the western regions from Värmland to Jämtland . Myrliljan is a marshmallow, brilliant to its flowering through the puffy flowers in a dense cluster. The leaves are of the same type as the iris ( Iris pseudacorus ): sheet is folded, and the its halves are adults except the base, forming a transparent sheath, so that it is compressed from the sides and turning a rim, not a broad side of the stem. Because the leaves are in two rows, the entire leaf rosette is heavily flattened. The stalk blades are reduced to weary scales. The fruit is a seed and the seeds are spooly and extensively extended at both ends. Myrliljan is poisonous for grazing animals, for example sheep , especially for the lamb. In "The virtual flora" there is no indication of toxicity. That particular sheep may have liver worms do not depend on the plant itself but on the substrate it grows on.
