Description
Pileanthus is a genus of flowering plants in the Myrtaceae family, endemic to Western Australia. Collectively referred to by the common name coppercups, the eight currently recognised species. They are perennial shrubs with essential oils. They have basal or terminal leaves that reach 40-150 cm in height, xerophytes , the leaves are tiny or very small, opposite, herbaceous or coriaceous, petiolate or sessile , aromatic, simple, whole, linear, lanceolate or oblong. The flowers are hermaphrodites found in inflorescences of corimbos or terminals. The fruit is not fleshy .
