Description
Helicteres is a botanical genus of flowering plants with 141 species and belonging to the Malvaceae family . He is originally from America. They are erect bushes , unarmed; hermaphrodite plants. The leaves are simple, serrated. With cincinni bifloros, axillary and opposite the leaves, the flowers are zygomorphic or subzigomorfas; with five sepals soldiers; and 5 petals surpassing the chalice. The fruit is a cylindrical capsule, with numerous seeds, polyhedral, irregular, unequal. It is a pantropical genus, with species distributed from Mexico to northwestern Argentina.
