Description
Dierama pulcherrimum, is a plant with drooping flowers of silvery-gray pink, introduced to British gardeners in 1866 by the Yorkshire botanist James Backhouse; it is today the most commonly seen dierama in cool-temperate gardens. Common names include angel's fishing rod, hair bell, and wand flower. 'Dierama' is Greek for 'funnel' and describes the flower's shape.
