Bowman jasmine (Ricinocarpos bowmanii)
Description
Ricinocarpos bowmanii is a delightful small shrub which is ideally suited to growing in a rockery, as a specimen plant, or against a background of taller shrubs. In spring and early summer the whole bush is conspicuously laden with clusters of starry white or pale pink flowers which have inspired the name of 'Pink Wedding Bush'. This plant is a member of the large Euphorbiaceae family which has a world wide distribution. It is an extremely variable family and includes many species of commercial importance. Products such as rubber, dyes and oils are derived from some of its members.
