Description
It is a perennial multicaule with stems that reach a size of 17-30 cm in height, decumbent or rarely ascending, thin, smooth or smoothly striated. The glabrous leaves -the young sometimes pubescent-, the lower ones of very variable dimensions. Pleocasium with 4-5 rays of 15-25 mm, 1-2 times bifurcated, yellowish in the anthesis, then green. Ciatio subsésil; with non-appendiculate, yellow nectaries. The subspherical fruit, considerably sulcate, glabrous, green or brown; rounded cocas. Subglobose seeds, smooth or finely dotted, grayish or blackish; sessile, lenticular, subterminal caruncle.
