Description
Alluaudia dumosa grows initially as an upright shrub. Later the shoots settle down and finally the plants grow tree-shaped. They reach heights of growth of 2 to 6 meters. The thick and fleshy shoots are studded with tiny, scattered and weak black spines These are up to 2 mm in size. The tender fleshy leaves are almost stalk-round and soon fall off. They are 5 to 10 mm long and 2 to 3 mm in diameter.
