Description
Sandnejlika ( Dianthus arenarius ) is a plant in the family of carnivores belonging to the carnivorous genus . This plant is up to 20 centimeters high. The flowers are large and white with fronded petals and flowering time is from June to September. The leaves are gray-green, very narrow and train-like. In Sweden, only the main subject is sometimes called Skånsk sandnejlika. Sand carnation is very rare and therefore protected species , red listed as endangered and subject to the EU 's Habitats Directive . It occurs only in Skåne , previously it was found in Blekinge and southern Halland . It grows on true heaths and drybacks .
