Garambullo (Myrtillocactus schenckii)
Description
Myrtillocactus schenckii is a species in the genus Myrtillocactus of the cactus family(Cactaceae). Spanish trivial names are "Garambullo" and "Vichishovo".Myrtillocactus schenckii grows with branched shoots , reaches stature heights of 4 to 5 meters and forms a short stem. The dark green, ascending shoots have diameters of up to 10 centimeters. There are 7 to 8 wide ribs available. The single, black central spike is up to 5 inches long. The 6 to 8 marginal spines are blackish, curved and 5 to 12 millimeters long.
