Description
Plant of simple stems, with a lot of whitish wool in the terminal tip or between the protuberances, rarely branched, from 5 to 13 cm high, 6 to 10 cm wide, globose to slightly ovoid; tubers arranged in 8-13 series. Color green to slightly green-bluish, radial spines 14-17, from 0.8 to 1.2 cm long, central spines 1-3, from 1 to 1.3 cm long, usually black or the base gray and the apex black . Flowers 5 to 6 cm long; bracts 2.2 to 3.4 mm long, light green, outer tepals 1.1 to 4 cm long, 0.2 to 0.7 cm wide, yellow; stamens 0.7 to 1.1 cm long, filamentspurple to red; style 2 to 2.7 cm long, yellow-greenish; fruits of 1.7 to 2 cm long, 0.4 to 0.7 cm wide, light green, bracts 1.5 to 3.4 mm long; seeds 1.5 to 2 mm long, about 1.3 mm wide
