Hiberno (Austrocactus philippii)
Description
Austrocactus philippii often grows branching with columnar, slender, downy or upright shoots reaching a length of 10 to 40 centimeters at diameters of 3 centimeters. There are 7 to 10 ribs , which are strongly divided into bumps . The 1 to 5 strong, straight, piercing spines are yellowish brown and 1 to 3 inches long. The 5 to 8 thin spines are needle-like, straight, whitish and 1.5 to 2 inches long.
