Curve-Leaf Yucca (Yucca gloriosa tristis)
Description
The stem-forming, bushy and group-forming species reaches a growth height of 1 to 3 meters. In contrast to Yucca gloriosa , the leaves are broader and the underside is rough. The leaves are smooth-margined, slightly toothed, green to gray-green, 0.6 to 1 meter long and 2 to 3.5 cm wide. The incipient between the leaves branched inflorescence reaches a height of 1 to 1.5 meters, and projects over the leaves addition. The flowering season falls in the spring in contrast to Yucca gloriosa , which blooms in autumn. There are numerous different forms of cultivation in Europe that make classification difficult. Yucca recurvifolia is winterhart .
