Annona jahnii (Annona jahnii)
Description
Annona jahnii is a species of plant in the family Annonaceae. It is native to the Brazil, Colombia and Venezuela. The species was named in honor of the Venezuelan scientist, explorer and mountain climber Alfredo Jahn. Bioactive compounds extracted from twigs have been reported to inhibit mitochondrial electron transport.
