Schinopsis quebracho-colorado the quebracho colorado of Chaco is a tree of the family Anacardiaceae He is native of South America, very appreciated for its wood, used in cabinet making and for its very high content of tannins. It grows in the Eastern Chaco region, particularly in the Argentine province of Santiago del Estero, and extends further south and west than its cousin Aspidosperma quebracho-blanco the white quebracho.
