Description
Thymelaea pubescens is a species of woody plant belonging to the family Thymelaeaceae . It is native to the Iberian-Moroccan western Mediterranean region , in Spain it is distributed by Alicante , Castellón , Lérida , Tarragona and Valencia where it grows in dry and calcic grasslands of places of continental Mediterranean climate. It is a small perennial plant , erect, very woody base, with stems densely covered by narrow leaves , glabrous, flat and arranged alternately. The flowers do not present brácteas and are hairy, of tubular form and of yellowish color.
