Description
It is a biennial plant, sometimes behaves as annual winter, solitary or with hair inserted, not stoloniferous, with caudex. Leaves basal and cauline, (persistent basal, compact); Absent petiole (cuneiform base); Sheets oblanceolate to obovate, slightly fleshy, with entire margins. The inflorescences with 6-15 flowers, 4-25 cm with sessile bracts: The erect sepals, (usually reddish purple), ovate or triangular to oblong; Petals white, not stained. It has a number of chromosomes 2 n = 22.
