Description
Palaquium cochleariifolium is a tree in the Sapotaceae family. It grows up to 30 metres (98 ft) tall, with a trunk diameter of up to 45 centimetres (18 in). The bark is dark brown. Inflorescences bear up to 14 flowers. The fruits are ellipsoid, up to 2.5 centimetres (0.98 in) long. The specific epithet cochleariifolium is from the Latin meaning "spoon-shaped leaves". Habitat is swamp and kerangas forests. P. cochleariifolium is endemic to Borneo.
