Description
Rubia agostinhoi , is an herbaceous species belonging to the family Rubiaceae. It is located in Macaronesia, Spain and Morocco. It is an herbaceous plant with stems up to 50 cm high, abundantly branched, with abundant retrorsal stingers. The leaves of (4-) 1O-50 (-90) x 1-6 mm, in whorls of (7-) 8 linear pieces, linear-lanceolate or linear-spatulate, revolute, puberulent in the lower part, with scarce stings in the beam and abundant in the margin. Flowers in very lax axillary panicles . The yellowish-greenish corolla , with 5-6 lobes of 1.5-2.5 mm, ovate, cuspidated, more or less densely papillose on the upper surface. Androceo with 5-6 stamens ; anthers of 0.1-0.2 mm, ovoid or ovoid-spherical. Mericarps 3-6 mm, globose, black. Flowers from April to June.
