Description
The following is the description given by Ant-nio Xavier Pereira Coutinho in his work Flora de Portugal (Vascular Plants): Disposed in Chaves Dicot-micas (1st ed Lisbon: Aillaud, 1913): Branches of forphalus or subphylum; Ochreas much shorter than the inter-nodes; Almost flat achenes . Plant 4-10 dm., Erect or rising or prostrate, with stems at last almost naked of leaves; Lanceolate or lanceolate-linear leaves. Woody plant. July to November. Cultivated lands, hedges, paths, sea sands: mainly in the Center and South.
