Description

Eriogonum elongatum is a fatty species described by George Bentham . Eriogonum elongatum is included in the genus Eriogonum and the family of molluscs Longstem Buckwheat is the buckwheat for dried flowers. The long delicate wands of gray foliage and pink flowers make a great foil for ferns and roses. Use in a neglected rock garden, rock face you don't think a plant can grow on, crack in concrete wall, etc.. This plant could probably grow in a rain gutter with no care. It's common in our county outside of fence lines(cattle eat it) from Hwy 58 north through Shandon and into Parkfield. An incredible insect plant.
