Wideflower Phlox (Phlox latifolia)
Description
Mountain phlox is-native-to the Appalachian states (where it is listed as-rare-in several states) and introduced to New England, where it is known only from western Massachusetts. This unusual-perennial-phlox is low and creeping, with wide, pink flowers that-bloom-in April and May.
