Firleaf Beardtongue (Penstemon abietinus)
Description
Small subshrub 5- 18cm tall. Leaves linear to filiform, 7-13mm long, sometimes folded, entire, acute or mucronate. Flowers 1.2-1.5cm long, blue-violet. Loose, limestone-derived soils, usually in pinyon-juniper-oak communities at 2000-2600m on Fish Lake Plateau, Utah. Intermediate in stature and habit between P.-crandallii-and P.-linarioides.
