Description
Papaver hybridum , the sad poppy , is a species of herbaceous plant of the genus Papaver in the family Papaveraceae . It is an annual plant, similar to the common poppy , but with smaller petals, reddish / paler crimson and fruits ( capsules ) that are sub-globular, centimetric and hirsute. Disc of the capsule with 6-9 (12) radii, convex and with crenulated edges.
